Comedy series satirizing the Chicago gangster era of the roaring 1920s. Dean Jones returns to TV in a weekly series, starring as Linc McCray, part-owner of a speakeasy. John Banner (formerly Sgt. Schultz of Hogan's Heroes) plays Uncle Latzi, who owns the other half. In the opening show, Linc and Uncle Latzi try to figure a way to top Big Nick, the underground gang leader, from hiring away the club's popular orchestra, led by a nasal-toned singer named Rudy Vallee.

Debut of a law and order series based on actual cases from the files of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office. Starring is Robert Conrad, making his return to weekly TV as Dep. Paul Ryan. Harry Morgan costars as Chief Dep. H.M. Stafford. In the first episode of the Jack Webb production, Ryan fights to introduce a homicide confession by a man suspected of drowning his 2-year-old daughter in a bathtub, rather than settle for a guilty plea to a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

Rock Hudson makes his TV acting debut in the pilot for McMillan and Wife, which will be part of Wednesday night's trilogy on NBC. In tonight's episode, police commissioner Stewart McMillian becomes more involved than he wants to with his wife's charity auction of valuable antiques, proceeds of which are to go for the rehabilitation of criminals.
