In a special holiday edition, NBC's monthly magazine is devoted to a single theme for the first time, a mini festival of children's television programs throughout the world. Producers stress that it is not a "kiddie show", although a panel of six children, aged 8-10, will view the films and discuss them with host Garrick Utley. Many of the films deal with serious social problems in such countries as Japan, Red China, Sweden and Denmark. Among other subjects, all from current productions, are puppet shows, village holidays, animated songs and cartoons.

To celebrate, Oscar feasts on well-spiced food, falls asleep in front of the TV set and in a nightmarish version of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" sees himself as Ebenezer Madison, haunted by his past misdeeds.
