A gang leader kidnaps a famous judge and demands a huge store of arms and explosives as ransom or he will "blow the state to kingdom come". (Last show of the series.)

Curry gets a well-paying job with a wealthy Easterner and then is charged with murdering him. The case against Curry seems airtight when Heyes rides into the small Mexican town, because Curry was apparently the only one in town who knew the man or could profit from his death.

But Ironside's unexpected kindness to the girl confuses her, and her own safety is at stake because she can't fulfill her task.

[CBS 10:00] Adventure: To The Top Of Everest [special] Documents the feat accomplished by a team of 39 Japanese climbers - only the fifth expedition ever to complete the 5½ mile climb to the highest spot on earth. The most recent successful ascent of the 29,000-foot-high Himalayan peak took place in the spring of 1970. Charles Kuralt reports on one of man's supreme adventures that resulted in some deaths and injuries, but also produced some of the most spectacular film taken at the summit.

Marshall and Brandon defend a police officer charged with the murder of his wife's boyfriend. The accused man maintains that he went to the victim's home to ask him to leave his wife alone until he had a chance to work things out with her, but the decedent had pulled a gun on him.

Season 7, episode 16

With Art Carney, Howard Cosell. Art, Dean and Howard play three oldsters awaiting the New Year; have a three-way misunderstanding over the boxing game; are a trio of hard-hat workers making light of of three TV personalities -- who bear a strange resemblance to them. In the Lane household segment, Mrs. Lane (Kay Medford) is persuaded by her daughter (Marian Mercer) to turn her charm on Mr. Karpopolis (Lou Jacobi). The Ding-a-Ling Sisters sing "Every Woman Needs a Man". Dean sings "Make the World Go Away" and does a medley with Art.
