Fred MacMurray hosts a nostalgic look at the many changes occurring in both cast and story development on his series, now in its 12th season. Film clips from the past illustrate the point that many viewers now in their 20s literally grew up watching the series. Segments of the 1960 pilot film are shown and also later episodes with scenes depicting the courtship and marriage of Steve and Barbara (Beverly Garland).
