In this first in-depth profile of the university and its president, Pettit notes the Tulsa (Okla.) campus is growing, affluent, anti-permissive, militantly religious in a non-denominational way and yet quite mod. The new university (1965) has old-fashioned rules which prohibit smoking, drinking, dancing and swearing; male students must wear ties, and hot pants for coeds are prohibited. Garrick Utley anchors.
