In the second half of the show the cast takes part in a movie spoof, "Story of a Star", starring Carol as Esther Crotchett; Cassidy as Norman Swain; Conway as Miles Mogul; Korman as agent Glibby.

[ABC 10:00] Population - Boom Or Doom? ABC News examines the important question of populaiton growth -- with its economic, social and moral implications. The program is keyed to the recent report of the blue-ribbon Commission on Population Growth and the American Future. The Commission, established by Congress and the President and chaired by John D. Rockefeller III, studied the many ramifications of the population problem for two years. A list of 62 recommendations for future planning was released, including endorsement of abortion, although not as a primary means of fertility control; encouraging sex education for all Americans, through the home, schools, community groups and the media; and strict controls over immigration quotas. Herbert Kaplow and Virginia Sherwood report.
