Daniel Schorr reports on the tensions in American life and their effect on young people. Specifically, Schorr and Dr. Robert Coles of Harvard University discuss four main "trouble" areas: juvenile delinquency and the juvenile court system, problems of children from welfare families (the dire effects of a system that encourages fathers to leave), the need for good day-care centers, and the problems of children from middle-class suburban families, with all of the comforts of home provided by the working mother and father.
