Patrick carried out further deprogramming at the Crampton home in San Diego along with a young group of Christians. Reporters talked with Kathy, who stated that only "bonded" couples in the cult may have sex. Kathy was unbonded so she had no sexual intercourse. Patrick demanded that interviews with reporters be stopped; Kathy asked a reporter about legal action she could take. Tense moments passed between Patrick, the reporters and Kathy. Patrick threatened violence.

After 107 hours of deprogramming, Kathy broke. Patrick, the Cramptons and the deprogramming team were confident of success. Seattle police, along with state and local California authorities allowed the Crampton abduction to take place. Kathy said that she forgives her parents and Ted Patrick, but her faith in law enforcement has been shaken. She added that doesn't feel free although Love Israel is out of her life, and mentioned that someday she may return to the religious group in Seattle.

The following day, Kathy escaped. She returned to Seattle and Love Israel's commune. [CBS]
