As the other Peanuts characters prepare for Easter, Linus insists they need not bother coloring eggs because the Easter Beagle distributes them "to all the good little kids". Lucy, perhaps because she may not be certain she is a "good little kid", rejects the whole idea and continues to hide Easter eggs in places where only she can find them. A strange thing happens on the way to the Easter egg hunt, however -- something which confirms both Linus' idealism and Lucy's disbelief.

Miss Simmons plays a celebrated actress who returns to sell her family's home after her mother's death, and is drawn into a relationship with the young people in town.
