Red Wings Lose Goalie

DETROIT -- Veteran goalie Roy Edwards of the injury-plagued Detroit Red Wings suffered a skull fracture in a goal-mouth collision with Craig Cameron of the St. Louis Blues Sunday night, doctors said Monday. Edwards was taken to Detroit Osteopathic Hospital with what was believed to be a "slight concussion" before the end of the Blues' 4-2 victory over Detroit. Further examination Monday revealed the fracture on the left side of his skull, doctors said.
