Today's scores and summaries:

Yankees 3, Red Sox 2 at Boston (night game):
A homer by Curt Blefary, together with two runs resulting from passes, enabled the Yankees to win over the Red Sox, 3-2. Ray Culp, who pitched for the Red Sox, walked Thurman Munson with the bases loaded to force in a run in the first inning. Blefary hit his homer in the fourth. Jerry Kenney walked in the fifth, stole second and scored on a single by Bobby Murcer. Rico Petrocelli accounted for the Red Sox runs with a pair of homers.

Indians 6, Senators 3 at Cleveland (night game):
Hitting his first homer since May 24, Tony Horton connected with two men on base in the eighth inning to give the Indians their fifth straight victory with a 6-3 decision over the Senators. Graig Nettles and Ray Fosse homered earlier in the game for the Indians, while the Senators had a round-tripper by Aurelio Rodriguez. With the score tied, 3-3, Fosse singled in the eighth and Nettles walked. Dick Such then replaced Jim Shellenback and on his first pitch, Horton hammered his homer.

Expos 10, Braves 7 at Montreal (night game):
Ron Fairly hit a grand-slam homer to climax a six-run outburst in the eighth inning and power the Expos to a 10-7 victory over the Braves. Hank Aaron batted in four of the Braves' runs with a homer, double and single. Jim Gosger had four hits for the Expos, including a two-run homer. John Bateman walked to open the eighth. Milt Pappas, replacing Phil Niekro, was rapped for singles by Marv Staehle and Bob Bailey to produce the first run of the rally. Larry Jaster took over and issued two successive passes to force in another tally before Fairly came to the plate and connected for his jackpot wallop.

Cubs 6, Giants 0 at San Francisco (day game):
Fergie Jenkins turned in the Cubs' first complete-game shutout of the season and defeated the Giants, 6-0. Jenkins got more than enough scoring support in the third inning when Billy Williams homered and, after a pass to Jim Hickman, Ron Santo also hit for the circuit. The Cubs' only other shutout was a combined effort by Joe Decker, Hank Aguirre and Phil Regan in a 1-0 victory over the Pirates April 27.
