Today's scores and summaries:

[DH] Orioles 12, Red Sox 3 (day game) / Red Sox 2, Orioles 1 at Baltimore (day game):
Sonny Siebert hit a two-run homer to gain his eighth straight victory as the Red Sox won the second game of a doubleheader, 2-1, after the Orioles romped off with the first game, 12-3. Frank Robinson was the big gun in the Orioles' triumph, smashing two homers and driving in five runs. In the nightcap, Siebert hit his homer in the fifth inning after George Thomas walked and Doug Griffin rolled into a forceout. The Orioles picked up their run in the sixth. Tom Shopay beat out a bunt but tripped over the bag and sprained his ankle. Paul Blair ran for Shopay and scored on a single by Don Buford and double by Merv Rettenmund. When Brooks Robinson doubled with one out in the ninth, Siebert gave way to Sparky Lyle, who retired the last two batters.

Angels 10, White Sox 5 at California (day game):
The first Angels' batter to collect four hits in a game this season, Sandy Alomar rapped a homer, double and two singles to lead the way in a 10-5 victory over the White Sox. John Stephenson, hitting safely in his 15th straight game, smashed a single and his first A. L. homer, connecting with two men on base in the sixth inning.

[DH] Yankees 6, Indians 3 (day game) / Indians 2, Yankees 1 at Cleveland (day game):
Fritz Peterson of Yankees and Sam McDowell of the Indians each pitched his first complete game of the season as the clubs split a doubleheader with New York winning the opener, 6-3, and Cleveland taking the nightcap, 2-1. The Yankees broke a five-game losing streak behind Peterson's five-hit hurling. The Indians gained their victory with two out in the ninth inning when Eddie Leon singled, Chuck Hinton walked and Gomer Hodge singled as a pinch-hitter for McDowell to decide the duel with Steve Kline.

[DH] Tigers 5, Senators 0 (day game) / Tigers 11, Senators 0 at Detroit (day game):
With 53,337 on hand, the Tigers not only beat Denny McLain in the first game of a doubleheader, 5-0, but also shut out the Senators in the second game, 11-0. Mickey Lolich was the winner over McLain, who made his first appearance in Detroit since being traded to Washington. Al Kaline and Norm Cash each tagged their former teammate for a two-run homer. Cash continued his slugging in the nightcap, smashing two homers, one of them with the bases loaded. Dalton Jones and Willie Horton added other round-trippers in the Tigers' attack. Les Cain, making his first start since being recalled from Toledo (International), pitched six innings before giving way to Joe Niekro, who completed the shutout.

Brewers 4, Royals 0 at Kansas City (day game):

The A's picked up their last tally in the home half of the sixth on a walk to Jackson, single by Sal Bando and sacrifice fly by Rick Monday.

Dodgers 4, Cubs 3 at Chicago (day game):

Mike Marshall relieved and completed the walk to Sands. Manny Sanguillen singled for one run and another scored on a double play before Vic Davalillo bounced out to end the game.
