Today's scores and summaries:
Royals 2, Brewers 1 at Milwaukee (day game):
An error by Don Money in the eighth inning enabled the Royals to score the deciding run in a 2-1 victory over the Brewers. With one away, Jim Wohlford bunted safely and stole second. After Amos Otis struck out, George Brett hit a sharp grounder that went through Money's legs, allowing Wohlford to score.
Cubs 5, Expos 4 at Chicago (day game):
Tim Foli finished hitting for the cycle with a homer as the Expos completed the previous day's suspended game with a 12-6 victory before the Cubs came back to take the regularly-scheduled contest, 5-4, in 11 innings. Foli had a single, double and triple before darkness forced the clubs to halt play after six innings with the Expos leading, 11-3. When the game resumed, Foli came up in the eighth and smashed his homer to become the first Expos' player to hit for the cycle. In the regularly-scheduled game, Bill Madlock and Jerry Morales hit homers on consecutive pitches to tie the score for the Cubs in the fifth inning. Then in the 11th, Morales doubled and scored the winning run on a single by Mike Adams.
Dodgers 7, Astros 2 at Houston (night game):
Mike Marshall, who relieved Doug Rau with the bases loaded and none out in the seventh inning, saved the Dodgers' 7-2 victory over the Astros. Dodger scoring included a two-run homer by Joe Ferguson and two RBIs by Dusty Baker on a single with the bases loaded.
