Today's scores and summaries:

Orioles 6, Brewers 5 at Baltimore (night game):
Reliever Bob McClure walked Pat Kelly with the bases full to hand the Orioles a 6-5 victory over the Brewers in 10 innings. Ken Singleton's double, Lee May's single and an intentional pass to Eddie Murray set the stage for Kelly, who had extended his hitting streak to 19 games with a home run that created a 5-5 tie in the eighth.

Red Sox 4, Yankees 3 at New York (night game):
The Red Sox linked a double by Butch Hobson, bunt single by Denny Doyle, Rick Burleson's sacrifice fly and Jim Rice's run-producing single for two runs in the eighth inning that sent the Yankees down to a 4-3 defeat. Dwight Evans and Hobson hit back-to-back homers for the Red Sox in the second. Reggie Jackson homered for the Yankees in the seventh.

A's 3, Blue Jays 0 at Toronto (night game):
The Athletics scored three runs in the second inning and Rick Langford protected the lead with a six-hitter in a 3-0 victory over the Blue Jays. Earl Williams doubled, scoring Dick Allen, who had walked, and Tony Armas followed with a two-run homer to account for the scoring.

Braves 6, Padres 5 at San Diego (night game):
The Braves edged the Padres, 6-5, in 11 innings when rookie Barry Bonnell bounced a single to center, his fourth hit of the game, scoring Jeff Burroughs with the winning run. Burroughs had walked and advanced on a groundout and loser Dave Tomlin's intentional pass to Tom Paciorek.

Giants 7, Cardinals 2 at St. Louis (night game):
The Giants erupted for five runs in the first inning and trimmed the Cardinals, 7-2. Terry Whitfield, Willie McCovey, Gary Thomasson and Tim Foli delivered run-scoring singles in the big first inning as the Giants made Ed Halicki a winner against the Redbirds for the first time in four decisions.
