Today's scores and summaries:

Reds 3, Phillies 2 at Cincinnati (day game):
A bases-loaded walk plated the decisive run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Reds opened the 1981 season by edging the Phillies, 3-2. After the Phils snapped a 1-1 tie in the top of the ninth on an RBI single by Keith Moreland, Dave Collins ignited the winning rally with a two-bagger and scored on a single by Ken Griffey. After Ron Reed replaced Sparky Lyle on the mound for the Phils, Griffey then stole second and took third on a throwing error by Moreland. Dave Concepcion struck out before George Foster and Johnny Bench were walked intentionally to load the bases. Tug McGraw took over and walked Dan Driessen on a 3-2 pitch.
