Today's scores and summaries:

Brewers 4, Angels 3 at California (night game):
A two-run home run by Cecil Cooper in the third inning produced the Brewers' 4-3 triumph over the Angels. Winning pitcher Pete Vuckovich, who had been shelved by an ankle injury, made his first appearance in 21 days. Rollie Fingers gained his 10th save.

Mariners 10, Red Sox 6 at Seattle (night game):
The Mariners, with Gary Gray, Rick Sweet and Todd Cruz belting home runs, humbled the Red Sox, 10-6, for their fifth victory in succession. Gray's three-run homer highlighted a four-run first inning, when Sweet also hit for the circuit. However, Cruz' third-inning homer proved to be decisive.

Orioles 6, Rangers 0 at Texas (night game):
Eddie Murray hit a two-run home run in the first inning to send the Orioles on their way to a 6-0 victory over the Rangers behind the five-hit pitching of Sammy Stewart. Murray had four hits and drove in three runs.
