Mike Clark's two field goals in the second half enabled the Dallas Cowboys to defeat Cleveland and stay in the running for the NFC's Eastern Division title. They cancelled out the two points Cleveland tallied in the opening period when Chuck Reynolds tackled Bob Hayes in the end zone. It was the third safety for Cleveland in one season, after getting only five in the previous two decades.
